What it is

Benefits working-class employees need, built for SMBs.

The existing benefits ecosystem was not built for the 50 million Americans earning below 200% of the federal poverty level. Brokers chase large employers, plan minimums lock out small companies, and traditional products like 401(k)s assume workers can afford to contribute. SMB owners who want to help their employees face fragmented options, jargon-heavy compliance, and toolkits that offer checklists without implementation paths.

Access to Benefits changes that. A2B uses place-based analytics to identify what SMB workers actually need and provides an onramp to enterprise-level benefits at scale. An owner connects payroll or completes a short intake; within minutes the platform returns a baseline assessment, tailored recommendations, and a one-click handoff to pre-vetted providers. Owners and HR leads track adoption and outcomes in a single dashboard as employees enroll.

Why it matters

Closing the benefits gap for working-class America.

Sixty-four percent of U.S. workers live paycheck to paycheck, yet the benefits marketplace ignores them. Replacing an hourly worker can cost 50 to 75 percent of that worker’s annual salary, and financially stressed workers miss more shifts and leave jobs faster. The result is a system where the employers least able to absorb those costs, and the workers most in need of support, are the furthest from the tools that could help.

Through a simple intake process, A2B matches SMB owners and operators with tailored benefit providers and plans matching the lived experiences of their workforces: improving benefits utilization, reducing absenteeism tied to financial stress, and reducing turnover costs. The result: thriving workers, SMBs, and working-class communities.
